Jessica Cortez, affectionately known to us as “Jess” has been in the promotions industry since 1999. She has provided the best venues for us to network, reconnect with friends, socialize, and shake our collective groove thing for over 10 years. Professionally, she has gained the respect of her peers through consistent hard work, put herself through business school, and created her own start-up business The Cortez Effect - founded in 2008. Personally, she has been a devoted friend and sister, a voice of reason, a shoulder to cry on, and always willing to lend a helping hand. If you’ve ever had the pleasure to meet her, you know that her caring smile and her heart of gold is truly a rare gift to have shared.
Recently, Jess has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. This disease, the seventh most common cancer in males and females in the United States, will pose an ongoing battle for our beloved friend and it is now time for us to lend a hand to our girl.
